Our story is one of continuous growth, change and innovation.
The original Virginia Home Furnishings store was the result of great success selling Tom Seely furniture in our other business, Blue Ridge Antique Center. Opening in 1997 and enjoying immediate success, Virginia Home Furnishings quickly expanded to include a location in Roanoke, Virginia. Sensing a need in the region for a “different” type of furniture store we opened a store in 2001 in Rocky Mount, VA.
By combining tremendous selection and everyday low prices we attracted customers from throughout Southwest and Central Virginia. An expansion the following year, which included consolidating our furniture operations under the Virginia Furniture Market name, and the addition of our Kids store in 2004, further increased our customer base to include an even larger portion of Virginia, North Carolina and West Virginia.
Virginia Furniture Market opened another Showroom in Bedford in 2010, and in Winter of 2018, we opened our largest Showroom to date in Christiansburg. Now operating eight stores including two Sleep Centers, a Decorator’s Outlet and Warehouse Outlet, Virginia Furniture Market continues to grow and expand.
