For more than 120 years, HumanKind has been a steady presence in Lynchburg, working to strengthen individuals, families, and communities through care, counseling, and education. Grounded in the belief that when families thrive, communities rise, HumanKind meets people where they are to build stability and remove barriers to opportunity.
Through wraparound services such as Early Head Start, Ways to Work (fair-interest vehicle loans), financial coaching, workforce development, Healthy Families (family support), and Treatment Foster Care, the organization partners with individuals to build on their strengths and create lasting, generational change.
HumanKind’s mission is guided by engaged leadership and a shared commitment to the community.
